LETTER OF INTENT TO CONTEST FOR THE FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, ALIMOSHO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY, LAGOS STATE — Prince (Amb.) Dr. Adedipe Dauda Ewenla

To:
Alimosho ward M2 Chairman. Leaders, Stakeholders, Party Executives, and the Good People of Alimosho Federal Constituency
Dear Esteemed Leaders and Beloved People of Alimosho,
I write to formally declare my intent to contest for the Federal House of Representatives, Alimosho Federal Constituency, under the platform of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
I come before you not as a stranger, but as a son of the soil born in Abule Egba, raised within Alimosho, and deeply rooted in the values, struggles, and aspirations of our people. I am proudly from the Baaki Adedipe Royal Family, and my life has been defined by service, loyalty, and commitment to community development.
A MAN ALIMOSHO ALREADY KNOWS
I did not need introduction Alimosho already has my number.
I know every road, every compound, and every junction. This constituency is not a map to me; it is home. I have lived and worked here, and I understand where to start and which buttons to press for real development. While others are still asking for directions, I am ready to deliver results.
TRACK RECORD OF INTEGRITY AND SERVICE
As a former member of the Lagos State Disciplinary Committee, I served with fairness, without manipulation, tribalism, or sentiment, always doing what was right and contributing meaningfully in my role.
As PDP South-West Zonal Ex-Officio, I have remained active both physically in meetings and on social media, consistently promoting and defending the interests of our great party. I have never supported or encouraged anything that could damage the PDP for personal gain. My loyalty to the party and commitment to the South-West region remain unwavering.
LOYALTY WITHOUT COMPROMISE
I did not and will never support any opposition party while being a member of the PDP. My political journey has been defined by discipline, consistency, and principle.
WHY I AM DIFFERENT
I bring receipts, not just talk. My work speaks for me.
I show up when it matters. When Alimosho faced challenges, I didn’t send messages I showed up physically. That is the difference between grammar and guts.
I have served without bitterness. I have held office, left office honorably, and remain ready to serve again without greed, without noise, just results. I am not chasing a position; I have earned it through service.
A TRUE SON OF ALIMOSHO
Alimosho does not need a test run.
It does not need a tourist or someone disconnected from its realities.
It does not need those who live outside the constituency or lack grassroots connection.
Alimosho needs its own son one who understands both the good roads and the bad ones, one who has walked through the fire and still stands strong for the people.
TESTED AND TRUSTED
Of all those seeking your mandate, I stand as one who has been tested:
1. In the community (village level)
2. At the state level
3. On the Southwest stage and beyond
And in all these, I have proven my capacity.
I am war-tested, street-wise, yet calm and focused a gentle giant with a steel spine. In a room full of noise, experience does not need a microphone.
MY COMMITMENT: CONTINUITY AND IMPACT
Alimosho 2027 is not asking for a new story.
It is asking for a man who will continue the work and expand it.
COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT THROUGH ADEDAS DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION
Even without government support, I have consistently invested in the people through my foundation, Adedas Development Foundation, focusing on real, measurable impact:
1. Free Computer Training Programs for youths and adults to promote digital literacy
2. Support for Widows and Widowers, including financial aid and welfare packages
3. Youth Empowerment Programs, including skills acquisition and entrepreneurship support
4. Medical Outreach Programs, providing free health services to residents
5. Educational Support, including sponsorship of JAMB and WAEC forms for indigent students
Assistance to indigenous people and residents of Alimosho in various forms of community support
6. Continuous grassroots engagement and humanitarian interventions
7. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I undertook a humanitarian outreach across Alimosho Local Government, where I distributed essential food items and protective face masks to vulnerable residents. This initiative was aimed at alleviating hardship and promoting public health safety during the crisis.
These are not promises they are ongoing efforts.
