Isiaka Flags Off 2nd Phase of Lifesaving Free Medical Outreach Across Ifo and Ewekoro

  

 

IFO/EWEKORO, OGUN STATE — In a major effort to expand rural healthcare access and ease the financial burden of medical treatment on his constituents, the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka, has announced the rollout of the second edition of the Ifo/Ewekoro Free Medical Outreach.

The initiative, organized through the lawmaker’s office, will deliver comprehensive, multi-specialty healthcare services free of charge to thousands of residents across all communities in the Ifo and Ewekoro Federal Constituency.

Speaking on the drive behind the initiative, representatives from the lawmaker's office emphasized that healthcare remains a fundamental human right rather than a privilege. With rising medical costs, the outreach is strategically structured to tackle widespread illnesses, detect chronic conditions early, and provide vital preventive intervention right at the grassroots level.

Comprehensive Medical Services

Medical personnel, doctors, and health specialists deployed for the program will deliver a wide array of free clinical services, including:

• Diagnostic Testing & Treatment: Full screening and medication for Malaria, Typhoid, and Ulcer.
• Chronic Disease Care: Comprehensive screening and management for Diabetes and Hypertension.
• Vision Care: Eye examination, basic optical care, and vision correction services.
• Specialized Consultation: Mental health evaluations, counseling sessions, and general clinical consultations.
• Preventative & Emergency Care: Distribution of Insecticide-Treated Nets (ITNs), health education workshops, first aid, and dedicated standby ambulance services for emergency evacuations.

The program will run daily starting at 8:00 AM and is structured into two sequential phases to ensure seamless coverage across both local government areas:

Phase 1: Ifo Local Government Area

• Monday, August 31: Ojodu Abiodun Community High School, Isheri-Ojodu
• Tuesday, September 1: Olorunsogo, Sunren
• Wednesday, September 2: Ifo City Hall (Beside Ifo General Hospital, Alameda Bus Stop)

Phase 2: Ewekoro Local Government Area

• Friday, September 4: Onipapa’s Palace, Papa
• Saturday, September 5: Hon. ISIAKA Hall, Wasimi
• Monday, September 7: Obada Oko Health Centre, Obada

All residents of Ifo and Ewekoro LGAs, regardless of age or background, are invited to attend and access these services free of charge.

Community leaders, traditional rulers, religious figures, and youth organizations across all political wards are urged to mobilize their members and neighbors to ensure maximum participation and turn out early to make full use of this vital intervention.
